12 DEC: CBYA 2025 CHRISTMAS PARTY

The members gathered to celebrate at the CBYA Christmas party, held at the Oceana Bar and Restaurant in Calla Les Bassetes. The evening began with a welcoming cocktail and other drinks, all included in the price. The CBYA social team had done an excellent job organising the event, creating a seating plan and providing notes about what each person had ordered from the festive menu.

Our hosts from the Oceana Bar kept us entertained throughout the meal with magic tricks, while the DJ played background music, which this year was not too loud. We drank, ate, pulled crackers and tested one another with motos and jokes from the crackers. After dinner, the raffle was drawn. There were so many prizes, donated by the Commodore, other committee members and meal vouchers from venues that host our events, including: La Bodeguilla, Maxims Restaurant and the Oceana Bar, as well as a free beauty treatment from the Devine Nail Salon, that every table won a prize or in some cases two.

After the meal, the music ramped up and people got up to dance—at first, a bit hesitantly, but as the DJ picked up the tempo, so did the revellers. We danced, drank and partied until midnight, and people started to drift away to catch the transportation provided on coaches back home.

What a fantastic evening! Thank you to everybody who attended, the Oceana Bar staff and the Social team for organising such a fun event.

The raffle raised €240, which all goes to the CBYA supported charity.
