Hobie Cats

The Costa Blanca Yacht Association (CBYA) offers exhilarating Hobie Cat sailing sessions during the summer months, providing members with a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of catamarans. These sessions are usually held on a Wednesday from late-June to early-September at Les Bassetes Bay, Benissa, near Calpe. 

The association rents up to three Hobie Getaway 17' catamarans from Las Antipodas Watersports, ensuring that members have access to well-maintained and ready-to-sail boats.

The Hobie Cat events are designed to cater for both novice and experienced sailors. Each session includes a safety briefing and instruction on catamaran sailing techniques. Participants learn how to handle different aspects of the boats, such as using the trapeze, all under the guidance of experienced skippers.

After each sail, members gather at the Coral Beach terrace to socialise and share their experiences, all while enjoying views of the iconic Peñón de Ifach.
