About CBYA Sailing
The Costa Blanca Yacht Association (CBYA) offers a diverse range of sailing activities along Spain's Costa Blanca, from Altea to Denia, catering for both novice and experienced sailors.
One of the core events is dinghy sailing, part of Watersports Day, which takes regularly place off the El Portet beach, Moraira. This activity is ideal both for beginners and those looking to further develop their sailing skills in a safe, controlled environment. The CBYA provides access to a fleet of dinghies and offers regular coaching sessions, making it a popular entry point for new members.
For those interested in larger vessels, the CBYA organises yacht sailing experiences. These include day sails and longer coastal cruises aboard members' yachts or chartered boats. From time to time, the association hosts flotilla events, allowing multiple boats to sail together to various destinations along the Costa Blanca. These outings are educational and social, offering members the chance to gain hands-on experience in navigation, boat handling, and teamwork.
In addition to dinghy and yacht sailing, the CBYA promotes racing for members seeking a competitive edge! We participate in local regattas and can organise our own racing events, providing opportunities for sailors to test their skills against others.
All of the CBYAs sailing events are designed to be inclusive, encouraging sailors of all levels to join and improve through practice, sharing techniques with other members and friendly competition.
Beyond on-the-water activities, the CBYA fosters a strong community through social events, sailing theory workshops, and shore-based gatherings. These events are integral to the association's mission of promoting sailing and camaraderie among members.
Whether you're looking to learn, compete, or simply enjoy the sailing lifestyle, the CBYA offers a comprehensive series of events to suit a variety of interests and levels of skill.
