CAN I LEARN TO SAIL WITH THE CBYA?  Yes. The CBYA is not a certified sailing school, however we provide coaching and can teach people to sail without awarding any type of certification.

CAN I ARRANGE A TRY-OUT SAIL?  Yes. Take out a Temporary CBYA membership, subscribe to our newsletter, and book onto a sailing event.

CAN I CALL SOMEONE TO DISCUSS MEMBERSHIP?  Please do CONTACT us if you're interested in joining the club :)

HOW OFTEN DO YOU SAIL?  Every week.  See our EVENTS calendar for details.

WHERE DO YOU SAIL?  On the Costa Blanca between Altea and Denia.  Also sometimes we arrange holiday charters.

WHAT KIND OF BOATS DO YOU HAVE?  We sail dinghies, Hobie Cats, 9 metre racing yachts, and keel boats. Many of our members also have motor boats.

SO I NEED TO HAVE EXPERIENCE TO JOIN AND SAIL?  No.  it is not necessary to have previous experience, as the club has plenty of experienced sailors and we can arrange for help and coaching.

MY FRIENDS ARE NON-MEMBERS. CAN I BRING THEM TO A SOCIAL EVENT?  Yes. They can participate, but there may be an additional charge.

CAN I BRING MY FRIENDS TO WATERSPORTS, DINGHIES OR A CHARTER EVENT TO SAIL?  Yes. They can participate, but there may be an additional charge and they would need to sign a disclaimer, as they would not be covered by any CBYA Insurance. It would be better to take out a Temporary CBYA membership.

HOW DO I BOOK A SAILING OR SOCIAL EVENT?  Log into your Member account, navigate to the EVENTS calendar and purchase a ticket.

HOW DO I BUY CBYA MERCHANDISE?  Go to the SHOP and place your order. Our supplier has minimum order quantities. The CBYA will place an order with our supplier once we have reached the minimum order quantities.  We will contact you to confirm when this has been done and provide an estimated delivery date.
