01 JAN: NEW YEAR'S DAY DINGHY EVENT

The beach and restaurant area of El Portet, Moraira was heaving with people partying. It was so crowded in fact that it was a struggle to actually reach the beach. Still, we managed to put out 4 boat: 2 Lasers, The Wanderer and Louise (the boat we are using as a rescue boat). Although the prediction was no wind, the wind came up at about 2pm and lasted all day. It did get cold though, so if you are planning to sail on the next Dinghy Day, please wear suitable clothing as the water is now starting to get cold!

Six people went out sailing and about 8 others turned up to watch and celebrate the New Year. Afterwards we all joined in with a couple of bottles of fizz in front of Bar Raco. 

Because it's winter, we are holding Dinghy Day once a fortnight, The next Dinghy Day will therefore be on the 14th January 2026
