02 MAR: MONTHLY DAY CHARTER

During a lucky weather window on the 2nd March, the CBYA Monthly Day Charter went ahead. The Monthly Day Charter is where a group of 7 members (or guests) get together and sail on a yacht that the CBYA charters for them. No sailing experience is required as the boat comes from the charter company with a professional skipper. That having been said, members can participate in the sailing as much or as little as they want, the skipper is there to ensure the boat is handled in a seamanlike manner at all time so that no mishaps occur.

This time the members sailed from Denia to Javea Bay via Cueva Tallada. Reports from the participants were: It was calm at first but the wind picked up later, to: A great day's sailing even though it was a bit chilly. From the photos posted it also looks like everyone got involved in handling the boat (and the sandwiches)

There will be another Day Charter in April. The weather should be warm and sunny by then so if you would like to go sailing on a yacht, put your name down by using the calendar event
