09 SEP: CBYA CRUISE IN COMPANY DAY 5

Today Midnight Wanderer headed for home, taking advantage of a weather window, before the storm that was due to arrive on Tuesday. They left San Antonio at first light and motored to Denia. They reported that they arrived safely on their berth 16:30. A brilliant effort for our first time couple. Well done Caroline and Martin

The other two yachts, Sapphire and Bifrost weighed anchor and motored to Santa Eulalia in zero wind. It was a very pleasant trip with the engine just ticking over in a flat see at about 4kn. On arrival, we took drinks in the restaurant and cooling showers, the temperature being well up in the 30's and 90% humidity. In the evening we went ashore again to take dinner, and then went on to a bar for a late nightcap. Whilst sitting outside the bar, the heavens opened and everyone crowded under the umbrellas or in the bar. 

Heavy rain is forecast for tomorrow so both boats elected to stay on their mooring on Tuesday.
